As a Junior Web Developer at Chaos Internet, you will play a vital role in building custom WordPress websites from the ground up. This position is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, a passion for custom development, and a desire to grow their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
/ Day-To-Day Tasks
Your Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress websites
- Create custom functionality and features using WordPress core principles
- Implement responsive and user-friendly designs
- Collaborate with designers and senior developers on project implementations
- Assist in maintaining and updating existing custom WordPress websites
- Conduct thorough testing of projects before launch
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress development trends and best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
- Solid understanding of the WordPress ecosystem and core principles
- An understanding of HTML, CSS and PHP.
- Familiarity with WordPress hooks, actions, and filters
- Experience with custom post types and taxonomies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and development techniques
- A portfolio showcasing your WordPress development work is highly desirable

Skills & Experience
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and website optimisation techniques
- Experience with Javascript
- Experience with Shopify development
- Experience with web servers, domains and DNS management
- Basic knowledge of REST API integration in WordPress
